Who are Retro EZ

RetroEZ is a community orientated online store, focused on helping people of all levels enjoy the retro gaming computer experience. We are also working towards opening a true bricks-and-mortar shop in the near future; with the goal of eventually bringing the Amiga back to the High Street.

We are a group of 40 something year old Amiga 600 focused users who originally got back in touch via the Amiga community during the first lockdown. It reignited a passionate hobby for us all and after helping various other friends and forum members, has turned into a small business that we are proud to be a part of.

Despite the A600 being the first Amiga model we owned, now later in life, most of us have more than one. We missed the Amiga 500 boom, surviving on 48K Sinclair Spectrum and Commodore 64 machines for a little longer than our friends. When we finally got our first Amiga computer, Commodore had just internally rebranded the proposed A300, to the Amiga 600.

Originally designed to be a cheaper entry level machine vs. the established 500 range, it turned out to be more expensive to produce and combined with the change of model number, became perceived as the successor to the 500 series, despite at the time being ultimately badged as less upgradable.

We loved the compact form factor and even though our friends eventually started upgrading from their Amiga 500s to the A1200 with AGA graphics, we still strived to bleed every last drop of power and expandability out of the 600 and still love it to this day.

At Retro EZ we have invested heavily into supporting new product lines as well as manufacturing our own products, which right from prototype production stages through to bulk manufacturing, have been designed with the Amiga user in mind.
